Good evening! I'm an English English graduate with an interest in all kinds of fun things, and a will to find even more. I reblog whatever I feel like at that moment, including but by no means limited to: Dr Who, Song of Ice and Fire, Homestuck, Pokemon, Avatar TLA/TLK, Zelda, Final Fantasy, Dept Heaven, Whedonverse. Usually not things that specifically ask me to reblog them, though. *****************************************************
david & dan: hey man we're gonna change a bunch of stuff is that cool?
george rr martin: uh well i guess but-
david & dan: we're gonna make the iron throne WAY smaller than you described it, and its not sharp and jagged or menacing looking anymore, kay?
george rr martin: well i guess that's not TOO BIG a change I mean-
david & dan: yeah that's great. Hey we made drogo rape daenerys on their wedding night instead of him waiting for her consent, cool?
george rr martin: what? no! that's-
david & dan: anyway, we got rid of jeyne westerling. shes a girl named talisa from volantis now whos a super hot battle nurse/noble.
george rr martin: a what now? why did you-
david & dan: also we decided not to put coldhands in because yeah.
george rr martin: hey what that seems kind of important you can't just-
david & dan: what? sorry we couldn't hear you. Oh by the way we're not bringing in lady stoneheart either.
george rr martin: ...
david & dan: jojen is dead.
"Toby Sebastian as Trystane Martell. Trystane Martell is Prince Doran’s son and heir to Dorne. His father betrothed him to Myrcella Baratheon as part of the alliance offered by Tywin Lannister, then Hand of the King"
Just want to point out that in the books, Trystane has an older sister, and as Dorne is far more progressive than the rest of Westeros she is in the fact the heir. Good job show.
Not to mention that Arianne appears before either of her brothers, has her own POV chapters, and is far more relevant than Trystane. Given that Dorne’s alternative laws of succession are rather important to the plot, presumably the show will switch Arianne and Trystane’s ages to make things more patriarchal rather than ignoring them outright :P
But then what about Quentyn, Trystane’s older and more important brother? It could be that the two younger Martells are being merged into one, but in that case it would be a curious decision to take the name of the younger and lesser-known prince in preference to the character who actually does something.
